Mi Nombre es Walter y estoy aqui de parte de mi familia para informarle a nuestra familia, amistades, y comunidad que fallecio mi madre Maria Cañas el Domingo 28 de Agosto 2022.

Para quien no La consocia, creo que son pocos, Ella era artista, poeta, activista, espiritu libre, Madre, esposa, hermana, y amiga leal. Ella toco muchos corazones con su risa y su inparable lucha por la justicia. Estamos orgullosos de todo su trabajo, al cual le ponia todo su amor. Mama siempre viviras en nuestros corazones.

Cual sea su donacion que puedan dar sera para seguir honrando su vida y terminar sus proyectos que dejo pendiente. Para seguir cumpliendo sus metas hacia la comunidad Nos gustaria estableser una beca en su honor.

Mi Padre, hermanos, y yo les damos las gracias a todos por su apoyo y amor en este tiempo dificil.

My name is Walter and I am here on behalf of our family. To inform the community that Maria Canas beloved mom has unfortunately passed away on Sunday August 28th, 2022.

She was an artist, poet , community activist , free spirit, a wife, a mother, a sister, and a genuine friend. She touched many hearts with her laugh and her constant fight for justice. We are proud of her and all the work she selflessly poured her heart into. Mom you will forever live in our hearts.

Any financial assistance you can share will go towards funeral costs, household expenses and supporting her planned projects. We would like to honor her the way that she wanted. We know that in her soul she loved to give back, therefore we hope to establish a Scholarship so that her legacy will continue live on in the community.

My Dad, my brothers, and I thank you all the support and love that we have received during our time of grief. It is greatly appreciated and doesn’t go unnoticed.
