On Christmas Day, our beloved mother faced numerous health complications at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where despite the medical team's efforts, she ultimately passed away. We were not prepared for this tragedy, especially not during this time of the year. We ask for your help with donations to cover medical and funeral expenses. Anything is much appreciated.

Many know Maria from her business, her taco stand Taqueria La Favorita. Her favorite thing to do was make food, not only for her clients, but for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was very passionate about her business, and was very hard working, selfless, and cared for others. She will be deeply missed by the community and all those who knew & loved her.

We also would like to thank everyone for all their words of encouragement and support during this time. We will forever have Maria in our hearts.
