Maria Dotson - real life hero!

If you have had the privilege of meeting Maria then you won't need to read any further. For those of you that don't know her that well...she's a true hero - strong, kind, funny, helpful, smart, sweet, sunny on the darkest days and just an all-around amazing woman.

Unfortunately, as evidence of the unfairness of life, Maria has faced many hurdles. When so many other would have quit fighting, she smiled, kept fighting & kept working to help all the citizens of Iredell County. In addition to remaining strong through years of fighting cancer, she has also overcome tremendous personal loss the past year. And now, rather than getting to enjoy retirement, she has recently had to have an unexpected major surgery.

I am not a doctor so I can't help her that way. But I can reach out to those who know her and ask for help on her behalf with these costs. She is indescribable. A mentor, a friend, a truly, truly beautiful person...just a light in the lives of everyone who knows her.
