Maria Elena Salas

Hi my name is Domenique and I am starting this fundraiser for my lovely grandmother Maria Elena who sadly passed away at the age of 82 on the morning of November 21, 2022 in Durango, Mexico. These funds will help my mom and I bring her back home and also set up a service for her so that we can celebrate her life.

My nana was a beautiful soul, always smiling and laughing at something or some one. She was the grandma that no matter what she was going to take care of you or help you in some way. Money meant nothing to her so she always gave it out to help others. She would always cook the best meals too. Everyone’s favorite was her Chile rellenos. She would even make special ones with cheese and meat just for me.

My nana was by far the sweetest little old lady you would meet. The hugs she would give would give you this warm feeling inside and after every hug she would always pinch your cheeks and give you the biggest smile. No one could compare to her. It saddens us all that we have to say goodbye to her. Although she is gone she will live in our hearts forever.
