Ms. Maria Elisa Ortega-Lopez, age 38 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, January

13, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 17, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. John

Paul I Catholic Church with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Roberto

Herrera will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 4 - 7

pm and Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Ms. Ortega was born March 2, 1983 in Michoacán, Mexico to Leonardo Ortega-Sandoval

and Rosa Maria Lopez-Estrada. She was a housewife and of the Catholic Faith.

Ms. Ortega is survived by her husband, Miguel Herrera of Gainesville. her son. Matias

Herrera-Ortega of Gainesville, her parents, Leonardo Ortega-Sandoval and Rosa Lopez de Ortega.

her brothers, Leonardo Ortega-Lopez, Luis Ortega-Lopez and Jose Ortega-Lopez and sister,

Evelyn Ortega-Lopez.
