María Inés Cancer Battle

Update: Unfortunately my mother has lost her battle with cancer and we are deeply saddened to announce this information. At the moment funeral services are being discussed and we will keep everyone posted. We appreciate everyone who has donate, and taken the time to reach out to us during these difficult moments. Your messages and calls do not go unnoticed.  We also can’t thank you enough for showing my mom love and support. She is now pain free and it is giving us comfort. 

Castro Family 

In August of 2021, Maria Ines Castro was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. She soon faced the biggest battle of her life. She began chemo treatments which would continue for two years. During this time, she had faith in God that everything would be ok. Early this year, her health continued to deteriorate, and while still keeping hope she continues to fight.

In early June, her doctors advised that chemos treatments were not showing any positive results. Her kidneys began to fail and her lungs began to retain fluids.

As her cancer continues to spread she continues to fight for her life daily.

All of our family are in disbelief and heartbroken.

Today we have made the decision to open this goFund account to help support our mother during her fight against this cancer.

We want to be able to provide relief to our mom during her final moments.

En agosto de 2021, María Inés Castro fue diagnosticada con una forma agresiva de cáncer de ovario en etapa 3. Pronto se enfrentó a la mayor batalla de su vida. Comenzó tratamientos de quimioterapia que continuarían durante dos años. Durante este tiempo, tuvo fe en Dios de que todo estaría bien. A principios de este año, su salud siguió deteriorándose y, aunque aún conserva la esperanza, sigue luchando.

A principios de junio, sus médicos le informaron que los tratamientos de quimioterapia no mostraban ningún resultado positivo. Sus riñones comenzaron a fallar y sus pulmones comenzaron a retener líquidos.

A medida que su cáncer continúa propagándose, ella continúa luchando por su vida todos los días.

Toda nuestra familia está incrédula y desconsolada.

Hoy hemos tomado la decisión de abrir esta cuenta de goFund para ayudar a apoyar a nuestra madre durante su lucha contra este cáncer.
