Maria Misquez -Breast Cancer Fund

This is our friend Maria Misquez.
-First I’d like to ask that everyone say a healing prayer for Maria!
-Second, I’d like to say she’s my Best Friend, but the fact is she’s everyone’s friend.. in fact she’s probably one of the most genuinely kind, loving and generous people I know. She’s the best Mom (stepmom), Daughter, Niece, Cousin,Sister, Auntie (Tia), Godmother, Grandmother and yes Best Friend you’ll ever have the privilege of knowing. She’s been through Hell the past few years, but I guarantee you’d never know by the never ending smile on her beautiful face. Her loving husband passed away suddenly in November 2016 and her Mom only a few short months later. She faced each with a grace and strength that left us all in awe.

Today she’s facing a new battle, breast cancer! We were all stunned at the newest obstacle life decided to hand her in such short order, but in her true glittery, fighting, never give up spirit, she’s holding her head high and giving all her strength to conquer this horrible disease. She has two handsome Sons, one has already moved out and the other is in middle school and of course still at home with her. She’s doing everything she can to stay positive for them as their only remaining parent and come out on the other end of this ordeal stronger and more healthy.

Recently the toll of continuously working and going to treatments has proven too much and she’s in the hospital trying to regain some much needed rest before her next chemo treatment. We are asking ALL her loving friends and family to donate whatever you can spare (even if it’s just Prayer) to help her with mounting doctor,hospital and travel costs. She does have insurance but it doesn’t cover everything and she has to travel to Albuquerque from Ruidoso for treatments. It was every other week for treatments, but now (when she’s well enough) will go to weekly trips. Maria has always donated her time, money and vibrant energy to so many wonderful people and causes throughout her life long residency in Lincoln County and now I  would hope and pray everyone will return the favor for one of our own.
