Hi there, my name is Elvira along with my siblings Jessica, Sergio and Jose, we are raising money for our mom who has suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns to her body.

Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 8:41 am I received the call that I never imagined I would be getting. My mom saying her house was on fire. My instinct was to ask are you ok, mom are you ok? The last words I got to hear from her voice was I’m ok my face and arms have burns but I’m ok. Those are the last words I got to hear before she wasn’t able to breathe on her own. Speaking to the paramedics helping them answer questions about her so they can better assist. When I got to Saint Francis emergency room I was told she was put on a ventilator. Seeing your mother in the type of pain you can imagine she is, is the worst feeling ever. Shortly after her arrival at Saint Frances she needed to be transported to Saint Elizabeth Burn Center in Lincoln, NE. They could not fly her there as the weather was not permitting any helicopters to fly so they had to call Aurora Ambulance to transport her. Arriving at St. Elizabeth hospital gave us a little more clarification on what it’s going to take for her to be 100% herself again. This will be a long journey for her. We are asking help for her! She is a very strong, hard working Independent woman who would not ask for help even if she needed it. Us kids are going to do whatever it takes to make sure she is worry free of the outside world from when she is released. Her home is gone, her clothing is gone, her pictures are gone. All we are asking is for a little help to cover the medical expenses her insurance would not , her monthly bills that are yet to come. Any little help is very very very appreciative. Most of all we ask for prayers for a healthy fast recovery!

Sábado 7 de enero de 2023 a las 8:41 am Recibí la llamada que nunca imaginé que estaría recibiendo. Mi mamá diciendo que su casa estaba en llamas. Mi instinto fue preguntar ¿estás bien, mamá, estás bien? Las últimas palabras que escuché de su voz fueron: estoy bien, tengo quemaduras en la cara y los brazos, pero estoy bien. Esas son las últimas palabras que escuché antes de que ella no pudiera respirar por sí misma. Hablando con los paramédicos ayudándolos a responder preguntas sobre ella para que puedan ayudar mejor. Cuando llegué a la sala de emergencias de Saint Francis, me dijeron que le pusieron un ventilador. Ver a tu madre con el tipo de dolor que puedes imaginar que es, es el peor sentimiento del mundo. Poco después de su llegada a Saint Frances, necesitaba ser transportada al Centro de Quemados de Saint Elizabeth en Lincoln, NE. No pudieron llevarla allí porque el clima no permitía que volara ningún helicóptero, por lo que tuvieron que llamar a Aurora Ambulance para transportarla. Llegar al hospital St. Elizabeth nos dio un poco más de claridad sobre lo que se necesitará para que ella vuelva a ser 100% ella misma. Este será un largo viaje para ella. ¡Pedimos ayuda para ella! Es una mujer independiente muy fuerte y trabajadora que no pediría ayuda aunque la necesitara. Nosotros, los hijos, haremos lo que sea necesario para asegurarnos de que esté libre de preocupaciones del mundo exterior cuando la den de alta. Su casa se ha ido, su ropa se ha ido, sus fotos se han ido. Todo lo que estamos pidiendo es un poco de ayuda para cubrir los gastos médicos que su seguro no cubriría, sus facturas mensuales que aún están por llegar. Cualquier pequeña ayuda es muy muy muy agradecida. ¡Sobre todo pedimos oraciones para una recuperación rápida y saludable!
