Celebrating the Life & Legacy of Shyr Dayrit

On September 11, 2022, Maria "Shyr" joined our creator and our family gained an angel.

She was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 2012 and fought for 10 years. Through treatments, she independently raised her children, pursued and graduated with her Master's and became the first in her family to obtain an advanced degree. In addition, she was dedicated to her full-time profession in special education.

Shyr was a resilient fighter and though she was battling an aggressive cancer, she still managed to put smiles and bring sunshine to people's lives. She was selfless and always thought of others before herself, even when she was going through treatments. She will always be loved and remembered.

She is survived by her two children: Devin (15-year-old) and Kayla (14-year-old); siblings Mary Jell, Donna, Neil and Gelli Ann; mother, Maria and father, Angelito.

This fundraiser is for Shyr's celebration of life (funeral services, food and reception for family, friends and loved ones) and financial support for her two children. If you are able to provide financial support, it is greatly appreciated during this time of grief, loss and healing for the family.
