Selam-nachew (Peace) Friends!
This October, I will travel to the Vineyard Church in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with a team of 8 others from the Renaissance Vineyard (in Ferndale, MI). They have cultivated a rich relationship with the 35 Vineyard Churches in Ethiopia over a 13-year partnership .
Our goal is to build relationship with our Ethiopian church family and to mutually encourage each other. We will co-facilitate a conference with two Ethiopian bishops geared for the Ethiopian pastors. We will focus on Soul Care. I have been invited to help with welcome and to facilitate a session on Mapping our Spiritual Life and Telling Our Story. There may also be an opportunity to serve at a women's clinic while we're there.
The cost of airfare, immunizations, a visa, and in-country expenses is approximately $2000 USDA. Your partnership financially and in prayer will further this kingdom work. Please pray for the following:
-The Spirit to equip our team and knit our hearts together with our Ethiopian brothers and sisters
-Safety and health
-Grace for our families while we are away
-Flexibility and good communication
-Protection for our leaders, Tsega, Ahmed, and Megan
I expect to learn and be stretched on this trip. Jesus is teaching me more about trusting Him rather than myself and also to slow down and to see where He is at work.
