Maria's Nursing Expenses
It is NOT easy for me to ask for help, but here I am, needing help,
and asking.
I live in the Sierra Madre mountains in Mexico, I'm 63 years old.
I am about to have major surgery to remove a Chordoma tumor from my coxis.
I have very large medical expenses, and right now I do not have all the money I need.
I’ll require extensive nursing care during the post surgical period, and it is for this that I am asking donations. I was diagnosed five years ago with a bone spur on my tail bone.
It turned out it is not a bone spur, it is the Chordoma tumor mentioned above. I have done very intense therapies, trying to reduce it, and I have spent a lot of money doing so, not covered by insurance. After more than a year, I am almost bed ridden, but I am a strong person, and I am very positive.
Below is a breakdown of my projected nursing care.
First 15 days in hospital.
Will require three nurses (three shifts).
$650.00 pesos each per day.
$1,950.00 pesos per day.
$1,950.00 x 15 = $29,250.00 pesos.
$29,250.00 = $1,625.00 US Dollars.
Second 15 days in hospital.
Will require two nurses. (two shifts).
$650.00 pesos each per day.
$1,300.00 pesos per day.
$1,300.00 x 15 = $19,500.00 pesos.
$19,500.00 = $1,100.00 US Dollars.
Second Month.
Will require one nurse. (one shift day).
$650.00 pesos per day (day).
Will require one assistant nurse (one shift night).
$250.00 per day.
$900.00 for both per day.
$900.00 x 30 = $27,000 pesos.
$27,000.00 = $1,500.00 US Dollars.
Two months nursing.
Total.
$4,225.00
Again, this is NOT easy for me to do, none of this is easy, but asking for help feels somehow right to me, despite the fact that it is difficult because I NEED help.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you are inclined please follow the link to donate.
