Mariah Alvarez’s Medical & Travel Expenses
Donation protected
Hello friends and family...
I know it has been a while, but I wanted to post an update here in regards to our loved one, Mariah. On October 30, 2023, she underwent a biopsy at University Hospital in San Antonio, and what was to be a simple procedure nearly cost her life. There was an underlying infection within her lungs and the cancer itself, complications immediately arose after, and she was placed on a ventilator. When that did not work and she continued to decline, she was placed on the ECMO life support machine to give her a fighting chance to just survive. For 40 plus days, she remained in ICU intubated and on the machine to help her and her lungs heal. Mariah has been diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal large B-cell Lymphoma, previous chemo treatment did not work as hoped and now she has started a new one. Petscan has shown that the tumors are still present, and this journey has taken a toll on her
and her body. Today, Mariah struggles to walk and requires oxygen. Her treatments now require her to leave her home in Bishop to MD Anderson in San Antonio twice a week. As Mariah continues to fight, we are again coming together to ask for monetary donations to help with her medical and cost of living expenses. Anything that can be given is greatly appreciated. To those who have given so generously already, we sincerely thank you! Her fight is our fight too....you got this, may the light of the Lord continue to shine on you as you go through this journey with grace, faith, and strength, we love you Mariah ❤️
