Mariah and Winnie

Mariah is 30 weeks pregnant and has learned that she is anemic and has labile gestational hypertension and mild preeclampsia. In order to ensure a safe and timely delivery, doctors are recommending she takes off work for the remainder of her pregnancy (4-7 weeks).

Ideally, Winnie will not make her grand entrance until she is 37 weeks, but for now the hope is for her to hold off her arrival until at least 34 weeks. Mariah and Winnie are are being monitored weekly to make sure it doesn’t become a case of severe preeclampsia, which could quickly become dangerous for both of them.

As many of you know, Mariah is a very talented stylist and this dramatically affects her ability to work safely. She has very suddenly found herself with no income and a lot of unexpected expenses. This exciting time in Mariah’s life has quickly become very scary and stressful.

If anyone finds it on their hearts to help provide some financial relief for mom and baby during this season of life, it would so appreciated! These funds will go towards living expenses and medical bills.
