Mariah’s AAU experience and travel
Donation protected
At the age of 6, I remember thinking that my dad was forcing me to play basketball in the little leagues… Little did I know that an orange ball would change my life. During my freshman year, I had made the decision that i wanted to play college ball. After I made that decision, I drove for it. Unfortunately, in the beginning of my sophomore season I tore my ACL causing me to miss the rest of season. Having to relearn how walk, jump, run, and hop wasn’t easy but I wasn’t going to give up on myself that easily. After 9 months of recovery, I was able to return to the court for my junior season and work on my game. Playing college ball will open up a lot of opportunities for me but in order to do this i need to start playing aau basketball. As you may know, the cost of AAU plus the cost of travel and hotels is expensive. With your help and support, this will allow me to get the exposure and take things to the next level. Further, this can potentially allow me to gain scholarships for college basketball. With your help and support I will be able to fulfill a once in a lifetime opportunity to play college ball.
A note from parents - Mariah really loves the game and is trying to continue on with her experience with playing basketball. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Tasha or Devin for details. We would love to have the continued support of family and friends and will invite you to local tournament games so you can experience Mariah play as well. We’re excited for this journey and again want to thank you for your support. Blessings❤️
