Marian Statue Restoration & Improvement

Donation protected
As you may know by now, the Marian statue at St. Patrick's was found broken the morning of June 23, 2020.  With the closure of our parish due to COVID-19 restrictions, St. Pat's was hit hard financially.  As parishioners, my husband and I have taken it upon ourselves to create this fundraiser to give St. Pat's the funds it may need to be able to restore or replace the Marian statue and also have funds to create a grotto or a more secure place for the statue to be placed in.  St. Pat's is the oldest church in our diocese and we pride ourselves in our home.  During the shutdown, our food pantry continued to serve the families that needed it... it's our turn to pitch in and help our beloved parish!

Here is the original message posted on the St. Pat's Facebook page and in their emailed weekly "News and Notes":

We are saddened to inform you that on Tuesday morning June 23, 2020 our beautiful Mary statue on Marion Street was found broken. If you live in the area and have seen any suspicious activity, we would appreciate any information you have. Our Blessed Mother will always have a special place in front of our rectory. Therefore, we are committed to finding the resources not simply to replace the Mary statue, but also to build a grotto in order to protect the statue. Look for additional details in future bulletins and "News and Notes" to find out how you can help.
