Hi my Name is Brian Perez I’m fundraising for my aunt Marianne Reitnauer. Marianne is a kind loving a caring sole. She barely had anything and would still offer to help someone before she helped herself. I met Marianne 8 years ago when I moved to Bayonne NJ she knocked on my door welcoming me to the building and to this town. Then she come out and says u have nothing moving here and I said yes but I do have stuff coming don’t worry. She offered me stuff from her apartment and when she welcomed me into her apartment she had a mattress on the floor and no furniture herself. Right there it showed me what kind of great women she is. Once I got my furniture I made it my strong well to make sure she has furniture too and I did it she was no longer sleeping on the floor. After that we became family right away. Marianne started to become very sick and got diagnosed with white Matter Disease, lung disease, cirrhosis, copd. So I started to take care of her food cooking for her and going to the store for her and helping keep her apartment clean. Then after a few years I moved and took her with me at my new place. Marianne was a great nurse helped with caring and taken care of so so many patients and now she was the one who needed the help being taken care of. She didn’t really wanna feel helpless at all and still fighted to stay strong and do things on her own. So we found her and apartment of her own so she can feel some independency the apartment was a block away from me. On Dec 8th Marianne turned or the worse she could no longer walk at all and started to have breathing problems I cleaned up her place and told her it time to go to the hospital she said Brian please not today I’ll get up and walk she got up and walked for me I was like ok I’m coming back tomorrow. Went back to her apartment on Saturday Dec 9th Marianne could barely get up out of bed and walk and her face was turning colors so I said Marianne u have to go to the hospital she listen to me and my sister Christine and she went to the hospital. They found lot and lots of fluids in her lungs with so much bacteria. I went to see her on everyday and on Monday she was like Brian we need to make u in charge of everything for me so we got a lawyer right away she make a living well with my name, made me her power of attorney and her sole beneficiary. And her last request from me was her dog Hope for me to keep her dog with the family. So I spoke to my husband and we both agree the dog will live with us forever once she heard that Marianne was getting even worse. I went to see her on Wednesday Dec 13 she was on a respirator and I know Marianne wish was not be put on any machines at all. I said Marianne let’s talk about hospice where they will put u on medicine and u won’t feel anymore pain. She said yes right away I place her in hospice care and she passed Dec 15th at 7:20am. Marianne had set up a private life insurance but it wasn’t much at all cause she was always giving her money to other people instead of herself. But the insurance money wasn’t enough. This all happen to fast for me and my husband and my sister Christine. I made all arrangements. we now need the public help along with her friends help. Please if u can help in anyone please donate in Marianne memory so we can pay for all of her funeral expenses Marianne was an orphan so she didn’t have blood family.
