Marianne’s Cancer & Death Medical Bills

Donation protected
On April 18th my mother, Marianne Lorenz (Hennegan) passed away.

She had recently been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer extensive stage. She went through the 1st round of chemotherapy and did well (or so we thought). It gave us a little hope, it was working. Then she started have horrible breathing issues, which doctor said come get a blood transfusion. We did that on April 13th. Then Sat April 16th she went into the ER. We had hopes they could help. Little did we know she was about to die. They put her on a vent, transported her an hour away. Where she took a turn for the worse. She had pneumonia, staphylococcus, sepsis which turned into septic shock. Her kidneys were shutting down, and we believe her other organs as well as her brain were being oxygen deprived. We made the hardest decision on Monday April 18th, to let her go.

Her medical expenses have mounted up. If you could even give a small amount it would help out. The hospital had the nerve to call and ask to speak to her on Monday while she lay in the ICU unresponsive. They wanted their payment already.

Our family is still trying to wrap our heads around what just happened. We received a medical bill today that was dated April 19th to my mother, asking for her payment of the hospital stay. Many more will be coming, so again any little help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Thanks to the donations we have received on here and directly, we have been able to pay a few bills. We are still needing to raise more for the 2 most expensive ones (the ICU and Air Evac).

                                                                                     Memorial

I am waiting to find out if the cemetery where my grandparents are (Marianne’s parents) will allow us to add her there (if not we will have to buy a plot). She was cremated so we would only need to get some type of memorial stone.
