Marie Begay Burial Assistance

Hello my name is Erika Gonzales and I am the eldest granddaughter of Marie Begay. My family and I lost our beloved grandma this past Sunday October 9th peacefully at home. Although we were preparing ourselves for her passing we are still devastated at this loss.

Marie was part of the Navajo Nations tribe from Shiprock New Mexico where she was born. We were anticipating having financial assistance and guidance from her tribe but due to recent changes she did not qualify for financial assistance because she did not reside on the reservation the last 6 months of her life. Now as a family we are left with trying our best to give Marie a proper and peaceful burial. My grandmother was devoted Christian women and always followed her traditions of her Navajo heritage. We are asking for anything you may bless our family with to lay her to rest.
