Maria Freitas & Family Covid Crisis
Donation protected
This is Maria Freitas. She was a kind amazing woman with the most contagious smile and a laugh that lasted for days. She was the matriarchal glue that held her family together I was lucky enough to call her my mother in-law. Unfortunately Maria has left this crazy pandemic world to be with other angels like her
As you can imagine, the hospital bills that have accrued after a long battle that initially started with hospitalization from contracting Covid-19, then led to many complications, and ultimately ended in heart attack She had the biggest most beautiful heart and unfortunately it was a heart attack that caused us to receive the most devastating phone call of our lives this past Wednesday April 28,2021
My husband built his career in the animal welfare field, working in shelters, he became a behaviorist to save animals lives. Last year he ventured out and started his own dog training business just before Covid started, although it was tough, we somehow managed to keep our heads above water. So we are trying to help contribute towards keeping the family restaurant that our beloved mother had worked so hard to establish and I know she wanted to leave it as a legacy for her family. I watch my husband fall apart, he loved his mother SOO much and if it weren't for these dogs he boards and trains to keep his mind occupied I don't know how else he would cope. On top of all else he helps take care of me, I am a quadrapalegic in a wheelchair for the past 20 years and what made me fall in love with this man and this entire family is the loving & helpful ways they have always shown. So I know how difficult these times are for them to even ask for help and at the same time I've never met a family more deserving of whatever help could be provided.
This family is some of the most amazing people you could imagine and it is heartbreaking to see their devastation. Any contribution big or small is appreciated more than words can express.
