Marie Mellinger

Hi I’m Eugenia Anderson and I’m fundraising for my bonus daughter, Marie Mellinger. Marie was a long time resident of Marlinton and was known and loved by many for her smiling friendly demeanor on. It was known that she would literally give you the clothes off of her back. Although she didn’t have much she took many misplaced person’s into her home for as long as they needed shelter.

As a single parent Marie worked in local restaurants and she was employed by Snowshoe Resort. In their employ she enjoyed working in the ski rental areas and ticket sales at the Depot. Upon leaving there she moved to Akron, Ohio where she was employed in numerous areas.

Marie then developed an aggressive cancer in numerous areas of her body and was unable to work. She was very fortunate to have her daughter and her daughter’s fiancé move to Akron to take care of her. Her daughter is expecting a child and Marie was excited to meet her first grandchild. She was sadly called home before that momentous occasion. Her daughter is struggling financially to take care of her impending birth and and needs help with burial expenses for her mother,
