Watch Struggle Street streaming now on SBS On Demand. https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/program/struggle-street I'm a hemi-paresis's (half of my body doesn't work properly) due to multiple strokes when I was 10 years old. I'm a single mum and a fusion volunteer working with at risk youth in rural Australia. My story is airing on "Struggle Street" on SBS soon and I was asked to make a GoFundMe page. If I was to raise enough money I could fix my wonky floor, alter my house to help me with my disability, get a vehicle that is not dying so that I can continue to live and volunteer independently as possible out here in the 'bush'. I wanted to tell my story to share how many of us live in rural Australia, and endure … and where possible .... even thrive. I have been through it all - depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, abuse … you name it, I may get knocked down, I'll always get up again. My passion is working with kids and showing people strength and resilience that we all have within us. "In my world kids come first" Marie-Anne Costello.
