Marie-Elena Relocation Appeal

Dear community, friends and, family,

It has been a difficult year. Looking for housing after being displaced from my apartment back in November has taken its toll due to constant moving around to find shelter. I cannot afford rent in New York, and the potential of losing my job by the end of the month has become a reality. New York is no longer the place for me. I have exhausted many possibilities and am running out of options, patience, and time. I need immediate assistance. I am looking to relocate by January 20th and will be driving.

I have a good friend in Arizona willing to welcome me and my dog Shiloh into his home until I get back on my feet. Luckily, I get to keep Shiloh which is huge because she has been my champion through this ordeal. She is safe and sounds in foster care, and I look forward to having her with me again.

I am respectfully asking for any assistance with relocation expenses to Arizona, and I have some funds but not enough to get me to where I need to go. You might want to know if I have any financial prospects. I have been applying for jobs in the Tuscon area and will follow up on applications when I get there.

I recognize that the world is much bigger than New York, and although the situation is difficult and uncomfortable for now, I am aware that nothing is forever, and this, too, shall pass. As the Beatles would sing, Here Comes the Sun!

Any amount you can contribute, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
