Marie's Extended Recovery - Kidney Transplant

Hi, my name is Erin and my amazing coworker Janet Zupan has been in Seattle, WA since March of this year, supporting her daughter, Marie through her kidney transplant and ongoing recovery. During this time, there have been several significant and unexpected hurdles and bumps in the road. The family expected to be home recovering in early April, but the surgery was postponed and they just made it back to Montana on June 13th.

Extended time away from work obligations and being far from home have weighed emotionally and financially on the Zupan family. Travel, food and living costs increased beyond the expected amount and due to the postponement of Marie's surgery, they had to cancel their initial rental and book a new and more expensive one.

On June 22nd, less than 9 days after returning home to Missoula, Marie had to be med flighted back to Seattle due to toxic medication levels and concerns. Marie and Janet are now back in Seattle for an undetermined amount of time. As you can imagine, they will be incurring substantial additional costs associated with the med flight and her additional care (not to mention unanticipated lodging and meals costs).

The stress and strain have been immense, but in true Zupan style, they have remained positive and hopeful. We can contribute to the certainty of a positive outcome and help pull them out of this valley and beyond with our generous donations. Summiting this peak is the ultimate goal!
