Marietta's Medical Bills

Marietta Jackson has worked as a cashier in Hubble Dining Hall at Drake University for 15 years, cleaning the dining hall and greeting people as they walk in. Marietta volunteers herself in other areas when help is needed because that's just the kind of person she is. But Marietta's impact goes far beyond the walls of Hubble Dining Hall. Marietta has touched the lives of so many throughout the years here at Drake, with her kindness and love for others. Marietta manages to know nearly everyone by name and to make everyone feel special. She has been a constant fixture of kindness and positivity during her time here at Drake.

Recently, Marietta was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer. Because of the impact she has had here at Drake, we felt that it was without question that something has to be done to show Marietta how much she means to this University and everyone who has come through it. This GoFundMe is being set up to collect donations to help ease the burden of Marietta's medical bills from her treatments. We hope that the Drake community can join together to help Marietta in any way we can, and to make her feel as special as she has made thousands of students feel throughout their time here at Drake.
