Marilyn’s Miracle
Donation protected
As many of you know Marilyn Jeffers has dealt with alot of health problems the past few years. She went through a liver transplant in October in 2021 and things were going great until about 6 months in and things started declining. She has now lost all feeling from her waist down and can’t move her hips, legs or feet by herself. She was diagnosed about a month ago with POEMS syndrome, Multiple Melanoma, and Neuropathy. Poems is so rare that many doctors aren’t familiar with it. She is in constant excoriating pain on the inside where her nerves are firing and burning. Marilyn is in tears 80% of the day due to the pain and unable to do things on her own. She has lost her independence completely.
The family Wayne, Karie, & Larry have cared for her 27/7 and are struggling to keep up with everything. Karie’s been off work for a year due to some of her own physical medical problems, Wayne has been sick and disabled for many years before, and Larry is working 2 jobs trying to keep things a float.
They can no longer keep up with everything breaking down, not having the proper bathroom it self, the equipment, and transportation. They have been using Karie’s car for her doctor appointments. It is also too painful to get her in and out every time. There are just too many things they need but wont ask for. They have a handicapp van that someone gave them but it doesn’t work and needs tons of work. Wayne just cant do it anymore. The Jeffers family has NEVER asked for help not even during the lover transplant; and never will because they always see others as needing it more than them.
They have been by her side this whole time but its hard to see them struggle with not having the things they need to get things done safely and correctly. Insurance only cover so much and Larry had tried paying for the remainder but it is extremely costly. Unfortunately there is a long road ahead for recovery but miracles happen everyday. The Jeffers family would do anything for anyone that needed help and wouldn’t ask for a dime in return. I have seen them do God’s work even with all their health problems and now is time for us to help them.
