Marilyn’s Trumpet Fund

Hello friends! I am preparing for my senior year of college and with an upcoming recital I have a very full semester ahead of me. Since my freshman year it has been a goal of mine to get a professional level trumpet but the cost has always been so steep that it would inhibit my success for the rest of the semester to purchase on or even to make monthly payments. Right now I have been playing on the same Jupiter intermediate horn for over 8 years and I have made do for my entire college playing career. It becomes more obvious by the day though that I have to work harder than some of my peers in order to get just as far. It is because of that, that I am starting this fundraiser to pay for my dream trumpet a victory revelation series valued at around $2700. This year will have some additional expenses such as purchasing music and mutes. My recital will highlight the works of many female, living composers so your supporting me goes right back to a cause bigger than myself and one of my biggest goals. Playing music that doesn’t normally get played at a high quality and making it known that no matter who you are, there is a place for you in music.
