Marina's FHO Surgery

Hi, My name is Giovanna and I am a volunteer for Dogs and Cats of Antigua (DACOA). One of our dogs needs help. Marina is a stray dog that was hit by a car and rescued by DACOA. She was at the veterinarian in Antigua and eventually sent to Canada to find a forever home. She has a limp and unfortunately, X-rays showed avascular necrosis of the left hip, likely due to the previous accident. She had an initial X-ray that showed breakdown of the femoral head but more extensive X-rays done in preparation for surgery show worsening with an actual fracture of the femur. She needs surgery urgently!

Marina who is now in Ontario needs a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery to repair her left hip and to have a functional life. The estimated cost of the surgery is $4500.00 CD. We are looking for help to fund this so that Marina stops being in pain and can walk freely again. She is a lovely 9 month old dog that has been through a lot and she deserves a chance! She has a good prognosis if we can do this. Please help make Marina walk well again.
