About a year ago.. my mother has been feeling funny symptoms such as vomitting when eating certain foods, bloating, loss of appetite, sudden loss in weight and feeling full pretty fast. Endless appointments to her primary care physician and a gastroenterologist never found the root cause or a solution to her problems. She was treated over and over for gastritis and ulcers. Despite the news, Marina is here to fight this horrible disease.
After researching her type of cancer and the effects of chemotherapy, we discovered some alarming information. Stomach Cancer is pretty rare in the U.S and not much research or funding goes towards it. Symptoms arise when it is far too late, and you're already in the 4th Stage. We learned chemotherapy is extremely harmful (even to other areas of the body), making other organs susceptible to cancer in the future or possibly lead to organ failure.
As a family, we have decided to take a more natural, holistic approach to this tragedy. Please keep in mind that with even chemotherapy or radiation, this form of cancer only has a 4% survival rate. We want to defeat these odds as well as provide quality of life for our mother.
