Marine Baby from Kabul

My name is Hameed W. I am a US citizen and have been serving along side US forces in Afghanistan for the last 4 years (as a Linguist) and recently was assigned with the brave Marines to help with the evacuations in Kabul. I also happened to be the father of the infant girl who was rescued by the marines, she was only 17 days old at the time. The images were circulated widely on social and mainstream media about a desperate mother handing over her baby to Marines over the barb wires. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2021/08/21/marine-holding-baby-afghanistan-sparked-outpouring-family-reunited/8228160002/
We had to evacuate them since their lives were in severe danger due to affiliation with me. Luckily we have made it back home safely, but most of our family is still stuck in Afghanistan. At the same time, we have to start our lives from scratch and with nothing at hand it is an upwards battle. At the moment a family friend has provided us with a roof, but we don't want to be a burden on them for very long.
The funds will be used towards medical expenses of my baby girl and her mother, legal fees to get our families out of Afghanistan and to restablish our lives here. Hopefully it will be the start of a great future for Liya (My Baby Girl) who had to go through so much in the dawn of her life.
Thank you every one for all your contributions.
