Help fund vital work to protect the ocean!

The ocean is in crisis. Climate change, over-fishing, pollution and other human activities are having a devastating effect on the blue heart of our planet.

At Sea Synergy Marine Awareness Research & Activity Centre we believe that to motivate people to protect the ocean they need to understand how they are connected to it. Over the last decade, our social environmental enterprise in Southwest Kerry, Ireland, has undertaken vital research about local marine habitats and helped thousands of people to understand our inextricable link with the blue heart of our planet.

Your donation will enable us to do more work to help the ocean. Funding will contribute to studies about the incredible marine environment in Southwest Kerry, including species such as the European Native Oyster, which play an essential role in keeping the water healthy for all marine life. Having declined by 95% in UK and Irish waters, it is vital that the remaining oyster populations are studied and protected. Find out more about the project here.

Funding will also go towards keeping the coastline clean and healthy. Sea Synergy has undertaken over 100 beach cleans to remove dangerous litter from the local area, preventing it from harming wildlife (which can ingest it or become entangled in it) and ensuring a safe environment for us all to enjoy.
