Mario E. Herrera Sr. REST IN PEACE
Hi, My name is Natali, I’m the youngest of 4 of Mario’s children. This is not something I could have ever imagined writing… Im sorry if what I’m saying is so choppy, this is not easy for me. My dad, but as everybody knows him as “Pop” Was such a great person, one of the nicest people you could’ve met. If you knew him personally you’d agree with me. He loved his sports, His teams were the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs, he loved himself a good baseball game, even if his teams weren’t playing he wouldn’t turn down a game, whether it’s baseball or football, he just made sure he was representing his team by wearing their jersey. If you all knew him but did not know, he had Liver cancer. My dad was very private when it came up to his health, never wanted anybody to worry for him, wanted to fight his own battles, he was a Marine (from 1980-1993) so it was in his blood to be strong and fight. It break my heart and just kills me to say this but he lost this battle… he passed away this past Tuesday evening, he fought till the end. He leaves behind his wife Amparo of over 34 years, his 4 children Mario Jr, Miguel, Nadia, and Myself, and his 8 grandchildren … He was a loving Father, husband, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.. He left us too soon… Like any family, this, this is definitely not easy for us to process let alone have been prepared for this. Like any kind of family loss comes financial expenses for funeral costs, services, arrangements etc. We’re asking if any kind of donations you may have whether it be a $1 or $2 anything will help us. This would mean so much for us to cover any kind of Costs for our dad. We love you so much pop, And miss you with all our hearts, Rest In Peace Pop, Thank you in advance to those who donate or have reached out to any of us, we appreciate it
