Marion Jeffery Jennings, 69, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his home. He was born May 23,1954 in Sumter, SC, a son of Mary Jackson Jennings and the late Marion V. Jennings.
Jeff loved the beach life so much that he earned the nickname “Tikiman”. He enjoyed living a laid-back lifestyle and spent most of his days off listening to his old records and reminiscing about the good ole days. There was nothing more that he cherished than his family. He adored his wife, Sam, and wherever she’d go, he’d go too. it was often said “where you’d see one, you’ll see the other.” He thrived in being a dad to his two girls and was so excited and looking forward to his first grandchild. Jeff was often told that he was like a “walking trivia game.” He was fond of history and was always up to date with current events. He was an admirable hard worker. There was rarely a moment where he was sitting down. So, it’s no surprise that he would be first in his quick and sudden grand exit. We now take comfort in knowing he’s living his best “beach life” in paradise with God. And reunited with his father and several other loved ones. We know Heaven will throw the biggest 70th birthday party than we ever could.
Mr. Jennings is survived by his wife, the love of his life of thirty-seven years, Symanthia Hucks Jennings; daughters, Hayden Coral Jennings Fogle (Austin) and Jensen Christian Jennings; brother, Ron Jennings (Paula); brother-in-law, Shane Hucks (Misty); father-in-law, Troy Hucks (Virginia, and the late mother-in-law, Joyce Hucks) and many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
