Marion Johnson is your Mom too

Donation protected
Veteran, nurse, intellectual, beauty. Who is she? She's Mom, of course. Her name is Marion Johnson. At the young age of just 59, she tragically suffered a debilitating stroke. After two weeks of being in a self-induced coma, on September 6, 2022 at 11:39 a.m. the best Mom in the world succumbed to the hemorrhage and swelling in her brain. She will never again say her favorite motto, "Peace, Love, and Happiness!"

A true Texan since 2007, who rests peacefully now in heaven.

Mom earned a bachelor's degree in public administration from Governors State University in 1993, a nursing degree from Kankakee College in 2003, and a degree in real estate from Cedar Valley College in 2016. Sheʼs also certified in nutrition and personal training. See, I told you she was brilliant.

She is the most wonderful person you will ever meet, always going above and beyond to help those in need.

Being a nurse is not just a job for her but also her life's calling. Mom even volunteers at her local church as a nurse on the emergency response team. And she's not just been my Mom; she's been Mom to several of my nieces and nephews, taking them in as her own when they needed care. She's there for people. Maybe she's even been there for you once or twice, has taken care of you as one of her patients, a friend, an aunt, or a sister or brother in need.

Mom has been a nurse since 2003. She loves puppies and dancing. Mom enjoys exotic fruits and vegetables, learning new skills, and tumbling soul first into the culture of any place she visits. Her favorite place to go is Facebook, but she will also take to the beach for any occasion. She sings to old-school seventies funk. She sits underneath the sky waiting for the sun.

She loves life and fought for it for her country and herself. She survived breast cancer and being a Lieutenant Mechanic in the National Guard while pregnant with me.

Unfortunatly, although Mom is a veteran of the National Guard, the military has different rules for burial depending on what part of the military you are in. The military refuses to extend help with Momʼs medical bills as well as her funeral expenses. Thatʼs where you come in. Please, help Mom by donating to her fight, because sheʼs your mom too.
