Marion Street Mural Project Brooklyn ft. the artist David Hollier
Organized by @TRULYBROOKLYN, in collaboration with New Apostle Gallery and Marion Street Park Block Association, the artist David Hollier is creating a mural of John Lewis and Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
The project is in honor of two of the greatest public servants of our time, sadly taken from us in 2020. They finally rest from a life time of fighting the repression they found themselves in as young adults. Although their careers have paved the way for equality for all people, their continued activism to their final days is a reminder to all young adults of today that the fight has not yet been won. In order to not let their tireless work be in vain, we must all furiously pursue the goals they helped initiate.
David Hollier is a New York based artist and also the founder of New Apostle Gallery, and has painted numerous murals including one of Nelson Mandela in Bushwick. You can check more of his works on his instagram @davidhollierart,or view his work collection on our gallery website.
