Marion Talbot fighting stage 4 cancer

Donation protected

Our beautiful friend Marion Talbot aged 43 years has sadly been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Marion is a kind hearted soul that lights up any room she enters. She’s like a breath of fresh air and always knows how to cheer people up, she is loved by everyone. Marion is mother to 23 year old Sharna who’s expecting her second child, 14 year old Maddie and grandmother to 1 year old Savannah.

Marion’s Story

Since March 2022 Marion has suffered terribly with stomach and rectum pain, passing blood each time she went to the toilet. After visiting her doctors, A&E and multiple scans, X-rays and biopsy’s Marion was informed she was suffering from internal haemorrhoids and fissures.
After more A&E visits in June doctors said she had an abnormal mass and was booked in for a pre op in September to have the mass removed.
Fast forward to August 2022 Marion couldn’t take anymore pain and suffering so took another trip to A&E where the doctors finally decided to rush her in for an emergency operation to remove the mass. During this operation a large tumour was found which sadly turned out to be cancer. After a PET scan Marion got the devastating news she has stage 4 cancer that has spread to both lungs, lymph nodes, liver, bowel, rectum and anus.
Marion then had to undergo 2 further operations to have a stoma bag fitted as her bowel was at high risk of perforating. Her recovery did not go to plan, she spent a number of weeks in hospital bed bound, unable to stand, dress or even wash herself. Eventually Marion built the strength up to go home with a driver of morphine fitted which sadly didn’t control the pain. This was devastating for us and the family to watch and a decision was made to put Marion in The Woodlands Hospice for pain management.
Sadly Marion’s future is uncertain, she is currently undergoing a 12 week chemotherapy course with further scans due in December. In these uncertain times, we as a group of Marion’s closest friends have started this Go fund me page to try an help ease the financial burden the family face at this devastating time. Whether it might be a last family holiday, a wig for Marion or to simply pay a utility bill, please consider donating any amount however big or small would be a huge help.
Thank you in advance.
