Marion's Fire-The Staged Reading

Marion's Fire has been simmering over the last six years and is now ready to light up the stage. Your contribution can make all the difference.

Marion's Fire is an original musical drama inspired by historical events of the 14th Century. When Marguerite, the town healer, mid-wife, and witch is arrested by the Inquisition, she charges her 16-year-old niece Marion with leading a rebellion. Producer Paul Emery has included us in his Winter lineup in February 2024 at the Nevada Theater in Nevada City, CA. I'll be sure to post the exact dates as soon as we have them. David Endicott-Hicks will be performing as the Grand Inquisitor Bernard Gui as well as directing the staged reading. Peter Johnson brings his talents as the Musical Director, and Penelope Johnson stars as the lead character Marion. Playwright and Lyricist Kimberly Clouse and composer Alan Feeney have teamed up to create a powerful book and score to tell the story.
