Marisela & her daughter were hit by a vehicle!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our GoFundMe Page. Marisela and her 6-year-old daughter, on her daughter’s birthday no less, were crossing the street with the pedestrian signal showing it was safe to proceed.
Unfortunately, a car ran a red light and made a left turn, striking Marisela and her daughter. The impact sent them airborne, crashing onto the car's windshield, then onto the pavement.
Upon hearing the commotion, my son rushed out of McDonald's, only to find Marisela and her daughter unconscious and bleeding profusely. Distraught, he administered what care he could until ambulances arrived.
Thankfully, emergency services arrived swiftly, transporting Marisela to the ER and her daughter to a separate children’s hospital.
Miraculously, Marisela has no memory of the accident. However, her injuries are severe, with a fractured leg, head lacerations requiring stitches, a massive concussion, and ongoing pain and discomfort.
An MRI will be administered next week to assess any ligament damage.
Her daughter, though fortunate to survive, sustained injuries to her legs and lost some teeth, along with facial bruising.
Marisela's road to recovery will be long and arduous. She now relies on a walker, faces dizzy spells and fainting, memory loss and recurring bleeding from her injuries.
Multiple medical scans and treatments lie ahead, adding to the financial strain of mounting bills and lost income as she does not receive PTO or insurance through work.
While the responsible party carries insurance, the process of settling claims is lengthy. In the meantime, the family struggles to meet their financial obligations and is likely going to need to find housing with Jon to lower costs and allow him to care for them as best he can.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would be immensely appreciated. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in helping Marisela and her daughter navigate this challenging time. Thank you for your support.
