Marisela Mendoza Fire

Hello everyone, I’ve created this page on behalf of our friend, colleague and community leader. Marisela Mendoza and her family lost their home yesterday afternoon on March 31, 2023 to a tragic fire. The fire started in their garage which damaged a large part of their home. Her and her mother made it to safety with the help of a friend. Needless to say, they lost everything, and made it out with only the clothes on their backs and some of her mothers medication. Those of you who know Marisela, know that she is an unfailingly kind and selfless person who is devoted to uplifting her community where she is committed to the Salinas National Little League where she puts in long hours for the children East Salinas as their president. She has also been a dedicated teacher in the Alisal Union School District for over 20 years. These are just some of the examples of how East Salinas is a better place because of her. All of you l, I’m sure, can remember a time where she was there for you. It is time that we follow her example, and give back to her.
