Marissa Faith Support

I truly need everyone’s attention, prayers, love, help… My cousin Marissa Faith Turner is only 19 years old. She is now requiring a liver transplant due to the information they found out as to why she needs a kidney transplant. They say she has genetic Hyperoxaluria. She has gout and now has an open womb on her foot. She is NOT a diabetic. She now has calcium deposits eating at her tissue. She’s been in and out of the hospital. Doctors are now recommending a Mayo Clinic because things keep worsening and she is experiencing things they cannot treat because these symptoms are so rare. They are recommending aggressive dialysis while hospitalized. She is currently in the hospital at UAMS. She lost her baby girl, her kidneys failed, she started dialysis, finds out she needs a kidney transplant, finds out she needs a liver transplant before the kidney transplant can happen, and she’s continuing to have more things occur in under a year. She’s got to be able to do ALL of this to SURVIVE. Please imagine if your ONLY child was in this position. I’m begging for anyone who has had something like this happen, any people I know who work in the medical field that can point us where to go or how to help her… I’m begging for you all to be thinking of them or even helping them if you’re able. If they can get to a Mayo Clinic they will need financial help for travel, food, possibly lodging. There is so much unknown. My heart is literally shattering into pieces. I don’t know what else to do to help and we are so desperate.
