Marissa’s Recovery & Medical Expenses

Marissa was involved in a motor vehicle accident on March 28, 2024. She was taken to Waterman, however, due to the significant injuries sustained she was Airlifted to ORMC. Marissa suffered from 2 collasped lungs and internal bleeding. She underwent emergency surgery to remove her spleen and address other internal bleeding. She remains in the ICU ventilated as they monitor her abdominal cavity for residual bleds. Marissa's recovery will be long as she'll need additional surgeries to make a full recovery.

Marissa is a 17 year old Lake County Resident. Senior at Mt Dora High School, Graduating Class of 2024.
