Mariusz Korzycki "Mario"

Mariusz had lived in Canada for a number of years before coming to Scotland in 2017. Being a long distance truck driver in Canada, Mariusz was often away from his family for weeks or even months, which was the main reason of coming in the UK, where he was able to use his long years of experience and find a driving job, allowing him to spend more time with his wife Dagmara and two daughters; Ruti and Zoe.
I was new to driving trucks when I first met Mariusz and I will never forget that day, he immediately struck me as a solid, reliable and down to earth kind of guy, always willing to share his experience and knowledge of the transport industry with me, and not to intimidate me but to really help, and he did on so many occasions, we quickly became friends also outside of work.

Once Mariusz settled in Aberdeen, he set a goal of buying a house for his family and for the next five years he worked an enormous amount of hours and even changed his job twice to achieve his dream. Due to his line of work he was away during the week but at least was able to spend weekends with his family. As a husband and a father Mariusz always looked after his family and was very focused on spending quality time with them at weekends, he loved going on family trips and was always on the look out for another place of entertainment for his family such as water parks, soft plays, restaurants and anything else one can think of.

In 2023 Mariusz and his wife succeeded in obtaining a house for their family, where they have been living for almost a year now.

When finally everything seemed to be going well, that one Saturday when his wife was at work, Mariusz went outside to his car and collapsed all of a sudden ... despite his neighbour's attempt to perform cpr Mariusz passed away at the age of 47.

Mariusz was a good friend of mine and even though we did not maybe see eachother very often lately due to the busyness of our lifes, I always knew, I could relay on him and I always saw him as this courageous man who never gave up despite of so many difficulties in his life, who kept striving to achieve his goals.
Unfortunately he is not there anymore to support his family and this is why I decided to raise this gofundme page because his family who was left completely heart broken due to this unexpected and disconsolate event now are going through a really difficult time and needing all the support that they can get from friends, family and anyone who may know them.

Please open your hearts, show compassion and be generous.

Rest in peace friend
