Mark & Jaime Van Aacken Home lost in Creek Fire
Donation protected
On Friday, September 4, 2020, the Creek Fire ignited in the mountains above Shaver Lake. Saturday night, Buddy (Mark), Jaime, 7 yr old twins Avery and Bentley, as well as their beloved dogs spent what turned out to be the last night in their beautiful mountain home of 4 years. On Sunday, now under a mandatory evacuation order, they gathered what they could and evacuated to a friend's house.
They are now temporarily staying in their travel trailer in a space generously provided by Clovis Community Hospital, where Jaime works as an ICU nurse.
They have suffered a devastating loss of all their possessions. In addition, Buddy's business, Xero Fab Worx, is unable to resume until the fire is contained and services are restored to the area. In the meantime, any help you can provide is immensely appreciated. All donations will go directly to Buddy and Jaime to help them rebuild the life that the Creek Fire so cruelly disrupted.
