Amy Forbush

Our beautiful Amy…wife to Mark, daughter of Sheryl, sister to Courtney & Chip, loving stepmother to Christina, Marie, Tabitha and Alex. and friend to all who know her…has been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer that has progressed to her bones and lymph nodes. If you don’t know the Meredith Family, John (Amy’s Dad) and his children were all diagnosed with the BRCA2 gene. Amy (and her sister) underwent radical and extensive surgeries to try and avoid the cancer diagnosis. Despite her efforts, this year they found cancer lesions in Amy’s spine, and a mass in her chest. They removed as much of the cancer as they could from her spine. Now, Amy is left with pins and screws in her lumbar spine and is undergoing treatment for the cancer that remains. While Amy is doing well, she has a long road ahead of her.

As you can imagine, this is devastating both emotionally, and financially. The cost of treatment is astronomical at $5000 per chemo pill treatment. And monthly obligations don’t go away while the battle is fought. We know Amy is strong in her faith and has a good husband by her side to help her through, but we can help them by lifting some of the financial burden.

For those who cannot make it to celebrate Amy’s birthday, but wish to help by contributing, we set up this GoFundMe account. All proceeds raised will go directly to Mark and Amy to help them with the medical bills that have been accumulating, as well as future treatments.
