Mark Bevan

Anyone who has ever met Mark knows how great of a guy he is. He is always the first one to show up to help when anything needs done. So it’s unfair that he has this story to be told.

If you don't know Mark, he worked for German Township for the last 40 years, was a major part of Bevan Sanitation, a farmer & an asset to our community.

As most people know- Mark started feeling “off” shortly after the Pfizer booster. Since March 2022 he has been to six hospitals, from The Cleveland Clinic to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, a rehabilitation center in Akron, and currently in his fourth nursing facility.

What started off as unexpected blood clots in his legs and spine has now taken his ability to walk and made the simplest task, like feeding himself, a major challenge. Mark worked everyday from before the sun came up until after it went down. So being unable to do anything has taken a toll on his mental state as well. Insurance is no longer allowing for physical therapy in the nursing home, which was a huge benefit to him, so they are now in the process of fixing their house to accommodate his needs and bring him home. Obviously, this isn’t a cheap process but Mark would NEVER ask for help or even accept anything given to him- so after sixteen months I’m finally doing it for him. He has worked so hard his entire life to watch it all be taken away.
