Help Mark Eckman with Medical Expenses

Hi, My name is Ryan Eckman. I am helping to raise funds for my brother Mark's medical expenses.

On July 23, 2022, Mark Eckman sustained a severe spinal cord injury in his neck. He is currently in the ICU at Barnes Hospital in downtown St. Louis. His injury was at level C4 in his neck, which left him paralyzed from his shoulders down. The injury also impaired his diaphragm. Therefore, he requires a ventilator to help him breathe. Mark has shown improvement in his breathing, and once he is off ventilation, he will require transfer to a long-term care facility specializing in spinal rehabilitation.

There is no timetable for spinal cord recovery. Most patients may spend 6-18 months in a long-term care facility. The funds raised will help cover his medical expenses as we continue to fight to help Mark recover from his injury.
