Fundraiser in Loving Memory of Mark Fleming
Donation protected
As a grieving family we have turned to Gofund me at this time of need. This fundraiser has been set up to support Mark's family, all donations will be put towards the cost of the funeral as no funeral arrangements were ever put into place as we didn't expect him to leave us soo soon.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sad passing of our wonderful Mark Fleming. Mark was a loving father of 4 and best friend to his partner Jayne. He was an amazing Father, Son, Grandad, Brother and Friend. We will remember him for his passion for work, he was never shy from a hard days work, he left school and became a car dismantler that he enjoyed for years, and then he moved on to learn how to build dry stone walls with his Father Marvin and grew a passion for the trade. He then went on to build his own business and loved being out in the countryside doing what he loved. After years of doing what he loved he had to stop all heavy lifting due to getting an hernia, which then he still carried on working everyday driving vans all over the country, nothing would stop him from working.
Mark was a very hard-working professional and was 100% healthy up until May 2023, when he recieved the terrifying news of having cancer. After he left his job due to the illness, he dedicated himself to all the treatment he could get. In and out of hospital, he stayed soo strong and brave all the way through it all and kept telling everyone that he will not let this defeat him.
Despite these efforts, the cancer became even more severe, and it started spreading to other organs in his body, making all the exercises that he used to be able to do to release the stress impossible, but also even simple tasks were too painful.
In the last few weeks of his life, every morning was groundhog day for him; his family pleading with him to find some hope and positivity and reassuring him that we everything will be ok. He lost a huge amount of weight in a short period of time and his ability to communicate with people rapidly decreased. Every minute was a struggle for him and he fought bravely as long as he could. As Mark told his family and friends, ‘This is no way to live, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.’
Ultimately, unable to escape and defeat this horrible disease he sadly passed away on 25th May 2024, with his loving and caring family and friends by his side.
All the family want now is some closure, and to give Mark the best send off that he deserves. So we are reaching out to those who knew him, or anyone who can help to donate, even if it is just a small amount it will make a massive difference..
