Mark Hudson’s Debut Studio Album

Donation protected

Hey y’all!!! It’s Mark Hudson.

I am very grateful to announce that I am recording my first ever Studio Record!!! There is so much work, money, blood, sweat, truth, years, and love that go into writing a record. I have been developing some of these songs for over 16 years... some for longer. And I will also have a few of my new tunes sprinkled into the mix! This is a collection of memories, hopes, and dreams. I’m calling the album: Lost in America

The recording itself will be recorded, produced, and mixed at the infamous Caribou Room in Nederland, CO. For those of you that don't know... I followed my intuition out here from Annapolis, MD, West Virginia to Boulder, Colorado. I saw bands like String Cheese, Keller Williams, Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, and Leftover Salmon out here playing in Nederland as a community. A collective if you will... of beautiful music coming from these mountains. I've been living in Colorado for six years now. As a result of fearless persistence I have found myself smack dab in the middle of my dream. The first song I ever downloaded off the internet was a song from a band called Great American Taxi. And as fate would have it... the engineer for my album is Silas Herman, Vince Herman's son (the leader of Great American Taxi, Leftover Salmon, and other outfits). Imagine my surprise!!! Colin Huff, Vince's oldest is now my best friend, bass player, and worst critic.... hahahaha. I love their whole family. They make me feel like I have a home here. Im telling the history of the area I'm recording in.... down the street used to be the famous Caribou Ranch..... which had artists like, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Crosby Stills Nash, Stevie Wonder.... just to name a few. What I'm getting at is.... this is hollowed ground. There are also healing waters that come straight from the mountain up there. It's magical.

Those of you that know me well, friends and family.... y’all know what I’ve been thru and how much work I have put into my music. I have a list of the breakdown of the cost of the album that Silas Herman and I came up with for y'all to better understand where your money is going.

P.S. Id love to make $20,000 to do this thing right.... I'm just aiming low so that I meet my goal! (If you don't meet the goal you don't get all the money!!!)

  • $1,000 Engineer
  • $500 Studio per day
  • $1,000 for Mastering
  • $2,500 for Mixing
  • $2,000 CD Production
  • $500 per Special Guest (5) = $2,500
  • $500 Demos
  • $2,000 for Marketing
  • $1,000 for Vinyl
  • $1,000 Album Art

And I'm sure it will cost more...

I'm asking my friends and family to help me make this record. With your investment into my music.... I will give the love back tenfold. This will enable me to go on tour and have something that I'm actually proud of to sell to my fans. I am going to be making packages available as well!!! I have to talk to my designers and artists about costs before I have real numbers... but there will be incentives such as ie..... spend $100 get a CD and a T-shirt. Spend $200 get a signed copy, T-shirt and Vinyl and so on..... just an example. I only have a short window to record this album and its looking like I'm going to do it on America's Independence Day this year in 2021. How fitting for a record called: Lost in America.

Please help me as soon as you can!!!!

Any money you give me before the Packages are built will automatically go towards the tier of rewards once they are put in place!!!! I want everyone to get a hard copy for your support!!!! Merch and Tickets will be the higher tiers!

Please folks. I need your help and support to make my first record.

Forever Grateful,

Mark Hudson
