Mark Kane

About a month and a half ago, Mark started to notice his vision become increasingly blurry. Mark then started to become extremely fatigued. Soon after Mark started to drop weight drastically, which he is now weighing in at 214lbs, for those of you who know Mark, know that’s not normal for him. (If you see him, please don't comment on his weight loss, as it is not intentional.)

Prior to the decline in his health, Mark was running a restaurant downtown (The Whiskey Barrel). Mark had invested so much time and money into the restaurant. Which unfortunately did not work out and the restaurant had to close.

Mark was admitted to the hospital at the end of August, and after 4 days his doctors are unsure if 3 of his organs in his abdomen are infected or starting to fail. Marks red blood cells and platelets are at a dangerous level, and is a strong candidate for a potential liver transplant. Mark has a long journey of tests and recovery ahead of him. Mark was informed that the recovery could be up to 6 months and leaving him unable to accept 2 job offers from Come By Chance and Long Harbour and unable to help provide for his family.

Mark needs help from his friends, family and community at this time and is hoping that anyone who is able to help, will do so.
