Mark Kearns' Medical Bills

On Christmas Eve 2019, after attending a Christmas Eve Service, Mark Kearns was examined and taken to Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center. His blood pressure was extremely high and also had over 60 pounds of fluid build up in his body from his lower extremities, up to his ribs. Mark then spent a week at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem where he found out that he was in Renal Failure and was immediately put on Dialysis. Mark was on Hemodialysis until November of 2020, and then began at-home Peritoneal Dialysis.

Mark has now been on the Peritoneal Dialysis for almost a year. Unlike Hemodialysis, which is done 3 days a week at the Dialysis Clinic, Peritoneal is done every night for 9 hours of treatment. Although this way of treatment is less strenuous, it is still taxing on the body. The only reason why Mark has not passed away is because of his age. With many months of testing, hospital stays, surgeries, and related and unrelated illnesses, Mark Kearns is unfortunately not a candidate for a kidney at this time.

Mark may be weak in body but he is strong in spirit! Because of the Lord and Dialysis helping him to survive, he is still with us. But because of his health situation, he has an uncertain future ahead of him.

With all of this being said, Mark has many medical and personal needs that need to be met financially. Any donation is greatly appreciated and will surely lift his spirits. Many are aware that with all of the typical monthly expenditures, social security disability checks only go but so far for the disabled beneficiary. However, any extra help will always lift up the countenance of the individual in need.
