Mark Koepke- Hit & Run Maplewood, MN- REWARD

On December 9th, 2022, while out for a walk, enjoying a cigar on an unseasonably comfortable evening, Mark was killed by a hit-and-run driver.

Based on debris found at the site of the accident, the vehicle is believed to be a 2011-2020 Blue Dodge Caravan.

The vehicle was traveling Northbound on McKnight around 10 pm and struck Mark at the intersection of McKnight and Margaret, near Wells Fargo and the Maplewood Fire Station. Yes, there were cameras, but they don't record constantly, they cycle through all of the cameras on the building. In addition, it was 10 pm, and Mark was wearing dark clothing.

Crime Stoppers MN is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest and our family is matching that for $2000. The Vulcan Community Charities have generously pledged an additional $2000 for information leading to an arrest.

We are trying to raise $6000 to bring the total to $10,000 in reward money.

Mark was a loving father to his two sons, Logan and Joey. He cared for his mother until she passed in April 2022.

He was a good guy. A good friend,

Mark was liked, loved, and respected by many people. He was a part of our family, not just a guy that used to be married to me, but family. Holidays, birthdays, bike rides or just hanging out, he was family.

Someone left their house on December 9th with a fully intact right front bumper, foglight, hood, windshield, and car. They arrived home or at work that night or the following day or two later and had damage to the right front end and who knows what else. The point is, they arrived home or at work.

I truly believe in my heart that someone knows who did this, and it's eating away at them. Maybe they were distracted and thought it was a deer or something. Maybe they were drunk and are still trying to figure out how their car got damaged. Maybe you have seen a car that matches the description and has damage that looks like it hit something. Maybe you work for a glass repair shop and remember replacing a windshield on a vehicle that matches the description. I don't know if they broke the windshield.

I don't know what damage was done because they fled the scene. Since Mark was killed, there have been at least four additional deaths or serious injuries by hit-and-run drivers. Please. Help us raise the reward money so we can find the person responsible for this. The Maplewood Police are working the case, it's an open investigation, but we can't have Mark's personal effects back. We can't get an Accident Report.
